If you’re looking for a fun activity to celebrate Valentine’s day with your child, here is the list for you! This list is specifically for social and emotional development, but if you’re looking for fine motor, gross motor, math and science, or language and literacy, we’ve got you covered, too!
These activities correspond with the following DRDP measures:
SED 1: Identity of Self in Relation to Others

PD-HLTH 4: Fine Motor Manipulative Skills
Child demonstrates increasing precision, strength, coordination, and efficiency when using muscles of the hand for play and functional tasks

Spread kindness and love with this random acts of kindness project.
2. Compli-mats by The Corner on Character
Create compliment mats for each child and spread kind words!
3. “I Love” Book Making by Fun a Day
Create an “I Love” book with your child by writing about things your child loves.
4. Wrinkled Heart by – Caffeinated and Creative
Teach children the importance of kind words with the Wrinkled Heart poem and activity.
5. A (Paper) Chain of Kindness by Sugar Spice and Glitter
Teach your child about the chain reactions they can create with kindness with this project.
